A little about me...
A little bit about me:
I relaunched Razzamataz Wimbledon in Spring 2020. My husband and I have two daughters and a son and our children were always encouraged to attend dancing, singing and drama classes as they grew up; with our son going on to perform professionally with his own b boy crew, collaborating with major artists both in the UK and internationally.
I have worked extensively with children and young adults, running my own business in education and development, and I believe this background is perfect for me to continue the successful running of Razzamataz Wimbledon. It is my ambition to increase the number of students at the school giving as many local children as possible the benefits Razzamataz has to offer.
I recognise the value of the performing arts in encouraging self-esteem, confidence and fitness. The Razzamataz ethos is: Having fun, making new friends and enjoying being active, leading to happy and healthy children. I am very passionate about Razzamataz and the wonderful experiences provided for students and it is a pleasure to see the children grow, develop and enjoy themselves week on week.
With the support of my amazing industry professional teaching team, I will continue to provide your children with a supportive and nurturing environment in which they are encouraged to pursue their full potential and realise their dreams.
Minis and Dance Teacher
Having always had a flair for creativity, Anne-Marie started her training at the Betty Wivell Academy of Performing Arts at a young age in various forms of dancing, singing, acting and teacher training. She has performed at numerous dance festivals, competitions like The Janet Cram Awards, and shows at places such as the National Theatre and Fairfield Halls. She has just recently completed 2 years at the BRIT School on the Musical Theatre course, as well as an A Level in English Literature. Now, she will continue the Musical Theatre path by studying a BA Hons degree at ArtsEd and she is excited to teach at Razzamataz alongside this training!
In her free time, she loves a good bit of tea, biscuits and blankets whilst reading YA and fangirling over K-pop!
Charlotte enjoys teaching singing, dance and circus skills alongside her training in Musical Theatre at ArtsEd. Originally trained as a classical soprano, Charlotte worked closely with Glyndebourne opera as a member of the youth company as well as working as a professional concert soloist. Having always had a love for musical theatre and being a keen dancer, she later joined Spirit Young Performers Company as a member of the Elite team while also teaching, leading performance masterclasses and performing in and out of London. Her favourite role that she has played to date is Liesl Von Trapp in ‘The Sound of Music.’
Charlotte is an experienced jazz singer and musician and has trained at a vocational level in aerial circus skills. She loves to throw herself into every area of the performing arts and hopes to inspire other young performers to do the same!
Sam moved to London after graduating from the Institute of Arts Barcelona where she trained as an actress. She is originally from Sheffield but grew up in Mallorca. She has performed in Sheffield, Liverpool, London, Barcelona and Mallorca.
She has worked with kids all ages and loves to see them grow through the use of the performing arts. As a working actress herself she understands the importance and commitment it takes, putting that same energy into teaching.
Minis and Intro to Juniors Teacher Sherwood Park Hall
Gina is passionate about the performing arts and inspiring the next generation. She began training in ballet, tap, modern, drama and singing at the age of 7 and is currently undertaking her DDE in tap dancing.
Over the years, she has performed in many venues including Wembley Arena and the O2 as well as Hairspray the musical at the Ashcroft theatre.
Since graduating from university Gina has opened up her own live music and events company -which is where you’ll find her when she is not teaching.
Fun fact: Gina loves the movie Happy feet so much that during the first lockdown she learnt Mumbles solo routine and recorded a side by side for Instagram!
I started dancing late when I was 15, though prior to this I had done a few years at a local part time performing arts school. I then went onto study Musical Theatre at College earning D*D*D*. After my time at college, I studied locally before moving to London to study at Arts Educational.
I have performed in multiple shows including the professional tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I have loved studying musical theatre and living in London so far and am extremely excited to start working at Razzamataz alongside my training!
