A little about me...

A little bit about me:

I relaunched Razzamataz Wimbledon in Spring 2020. My husband and I have two daughters and a son and our children were always encouraged to attend dancing, singing and drama classes as they grew up; with our son going on to perform professionally with his own b boy crew, collaborating with major artists both in the UK and internationally.

I have worked extensively with children and young adults, running my own business in education and development, and I believe this background is perfect for me to continue the successful running of Razzamataz Wimbledon. It is my ambition to increase the number of students at the school giving as many local children as possible the benefits Razzamataz has to offer.

I recognise the value of the performing arts in encouraging self-esteem, confidence and fitness. The Razzamataz ethos is:  Having fun, making new friends and enjoying being active, leading to happy and healthy children. I am very passionate about Razzamataz and the wonderful experiences provided for students and it is a pleasure to see the children grow, develop and enjoy themselves week on week.

With the support of the industry professional teaching team, who have been at the School since its launch in 2016, I will continue to provide your children with a supportive and nurturing environment in which they are encouraged to pursue their full potential and realise their dreams.

Sam Makepeace-Beach

Minis, Drama and Singing Teacher

Originally from Peterborough, Sam moved to London to attend Drama School where he trained at the London College of Music. Since graduating he has performed as Lead Vocalist on board the Saga Sapphire. He has also had the privilege to perform at the National Theatre and Criterion Theatre whilst in training. Sam has a wealth of teaching experience with other theatre schools and is excited to bring his fun energy and theatrical expertise to the Razzamataz team.

Anne-Marie Wojna

Minis, Dance and Singing Teacher

Having always had a flair for creativity, Anne-Marie started her training at the Betty Wivell Academy of Performing Arts at a young age in various forms of dancing, singing, acting and teacher training. She has performed at numerous dance festivals, competitions like The Janet Cram Awards, and shows at places such as the National Theatre and Fairfield Halls. She has just recently completed 2 years at the BRIT School on the Musical Theatre course, as well as an A Level in English Literature. Now, she will continue the Musical Theatre path by studying a BA Hons degree at ArtsEd and she is excited to teach at Razzamataz alongside this training!

In her free time, she loves a good bit of tea, biscuits and blankets whilst reading YA and fangirling over K-pop!

Gina Thompson

Minis and Intro to Juniors Teacher Sherwood Park Hall

Gina is passionate about the performing arts and inspiring the next generation. She began training in ballet, tap, modern, drama and singing at the age of 7 and is currently undertaking her DDE in tap dancing.
Over the years, she has performed in many venues including Wembley Arena and the O2 as well as Hairspray the musical at the Ashcroft theatre.
Since graduating from university Gina has opened up her own live music and events company -which is where you’ll find her when she is not teaching.
Fun fact: Gina loves the movie Happy feet so much that during the first lockdown she learnt Mumbles solo routine and recorded a side by side for Instagram!

Hussain Raza

Classroom Assistant

From an early age Hussain has always enjoyed music and performed in his Junior Choir. After his GCSEs, he started his acting life at the BRIT School. During his studies he worked with many communities around London and performed in numerous venues in the South London area.
After BRIT Hussain trained at Arts Ed in Musical Theatre and has embraced the enjoyment of the art form. In his spare time Hussain writes his own original plays and likes to read Japanese literature. Finally, Hussain will always spread positivity with everyone!

Fun fact: Hussain was actually a student of Razzamataz Wimbledon throughout the first lockdown and we are so excited to have his incredible enthusiasm and love for performing on our team!
